Royal Dutch Shell

Shell is one of the largest energy companies in the world and are headquartered out of London, UK. Over the years, Shell has been accused of many numbers of human rights and environmental crimes associated with many levels of their operations. Currently one of the largest players in Canada's tar sands, Shell has come under legal challenges on several grounds in Alberta and involving several different first nations. RD Shell has the bulk of their global reserves held in kerogen, bitumen and other heavier or unconventional oil and gas plays and has carried out vast experimentation for extreme extraction around the planet.
